Cowboy Casino was never supposed to feel neutral. The point was to make the player feel like they had walked into a room where the dealer, the decor, and the rules were all leaning against them.
The release work that mattered
- Menu flow had to be faster and clearer.
- Localization had to hold up across ten languages.
- The campaign needed an actual reward structure, which is where free-play mode came in.
What stayed rough on purpose
The project keeps a lot of hard edges because they serve the mood. The goal was not a frictionless casino sim. It was a readable, characterful card game package that feels like a crooked place.
That same line of thinking connects directly back to Wild West Poker and forward into whatever the next card project becomes.
